For future reference. Don't use category pages to put manual lists.
Create each of the pages and add this category to them using this code:
Actually I've seen a technique used which is quite ingenious in one of the NeoWikis, it was a combination manual list whose every entry in the list was tagged with the correct category. Somehow it suppressed the default listing behaviour of MW. This was interesting because it allowed the page to use formatting and adding extra info about each page that it was linking to. I can't remember which wiki it was or else I'd link it :(.

Ok as an update, I tried to recreate what the other wiki did but it seems to fail :|. I'll keep exploring because I think this has interesting applications.

How was it displayed then? As a category list with some info per page or as a manual list with links?
Not sure how possible this would be based on the MW code, but could it take the first XX characters from each page (disregarding templates somehow) and display that?
Not quite sure how it worked either (based on the explanation).
